Hello Again. It’s Good to Be Back.

Our home library
Hello everyone!
It’s been a while since I’ve written here, but it is very exciting to be back after a blogging break. As you can imagine, a lot has changed the past couple of years!
I am quite eager to share my experiences, thoughts, and ideas with you and plan to do so in subsequent posts.
To start with, I thought I might give a quick rundown of some of the highlights of the recent years:
- Our blog, which was started in 2020, was initially called “The Kindlings”. We have now renamed it to the “Marles Schoolhouse”.
- We are still on our home education journey, and the kids are now 12, 10, 9, and 4. The years fly by!
- We have made the difficult decision to move on from Classical Conversations and are now using another classical Christian curriculum called Memoria Press. More on that in later posts, including how we transitioned all 4 kids into the new curriculum.
- We moved house and city – from our tiny, terraced rental in London to a detached house in Surrey. With home-educating 4 kids and my husband working from home, space was an absolute priority. We are so grateful for the extra space even though this 1950’s home came with its own set of challenges.
We even built a home library!
